The Cyclades ia an island group in the Aegean Sea , the most famous islands in Greece.The name Cyclades refers to the islands forming a circle around the sacred island of Delos.The Greek mythology has it that the Cyclades were created by Poseidon who turned the Cyclades nymphs into islands when they infuriated him. They are 33 islands and rocky islets in total,24 of which are inhabited: Amorgos, Anafi, Andros, Antiparos, Donoussa, Iraklia, Thirasia, Ios, Kea, Kimolos, Koufonisi, Kythnos, Melos, Mykonos, Naxos, Paros, Santorini, Serifos, Sikinos, Sifnos, Syros, Skinousa, Tinos and Folegandros.
